17. No notice should be taken of events which

have happened since the 31/12/08. Thus, a member who died subsequent to that date, should appear on the card as living, and his wife's name will not appear on the

schedule.

Contributions and Pensions. The amounts should

be expressed in $ &c. alone, all sterling elements (of contributions and pensions) being converted at the rate of axchange which may be finally agreed upon.

31/12/08 (see section 8 of Ordinance No.15 of 1908). understood that the increase of annual contribution

upon an increase of salary continues only from the

date of such increment of contribution for the remain- der of 35 years or to age 58. (Whichever be the shorter

term) reckoned from the date of original entry upon

the fund. Hence each element of the tital annual con-

tribution (consisting of the contribution upon the original salary and upon each increase of salary) will, in the case of the same member, possess (if my under- standing be correct) an identical period of years and months to run from the 31/12/08. Hence, the_singleques- tion upon the point.
